After hosting 300,000 visitors and 14 Olympic Medal events during the Winter Olympic Games in 2002, the Utah Olympic Park has become a training center and tourist destination. Tours can take visitors to the top of the world's highest altitude ski jumps and explore an Olympic luge and bobsled track. Home to the world-famous Mormon Tabernacle Choir, The Tabernacle is lauded for its acoustic excellence and is a main focal point of Temple Square in downtown Salt Lake City. The dome-shaped auditorium was built in the mid 1800s and today plays host to visitors from around the world. The famous choir performs on Sunday mornings and rehearses on Thursday evenings.
